On the 28th of March, the RI-ProT university partners welcomed the non-scientific partners to Berlin for an interactive workshop at the TU Berlin Center Technology and Society (ZTG) to kick-off the project’s transdisciplinary collaboration. The goal of the afternoon was to use the Three Horizons framework to explore protein transitions, bringing together the group’s different perspectives on the status quo, visions for the future of protein production and the innovations that could change the way protein-rich foods are produced and consumed. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, with a variety of themes emerging, from responsibilities of different actors in the transition to true-cost accounting. The insights from the workshop were recorded, analysed and are being used to shape the next phases of the project.

We thank our partners from the Consumer Advice Centre (Verbraucherzentrale - VZ), the Good Food Institute (GFI), the German Agricultural Society (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft - DLG), and the German Federation for Plant innovation (Gemeinschaft zur Förderung von Pflanzeninnovation e. V. - GFPi) for their engagement and extremely valuable inputs!
