Focus Groups
By engaging with citizens, RI-ProT aims to anticipate societal needs, foster inclusion, and initiate dialogue about what a sustainable and responsible food future should look like.
To explore how people envision the future of food, RI-ProT has organized focus groups with citizens in November 2025. These conversations invited participants to share their ideas about what we might eat in the future, reflect on their expectations and concerns about new food technologies, and discuss what responsibility in food innovation could entail.
The focus groups captured a range of perspectives and experiences. In July 2026, the results were presented to and discussed with multiple representatives of the German Consumer Advice Centre in a webinar. The insights from the focus groups complement the project’s other activities, and will be shared through open publication to help guide responsible innovation across the food sector.
